Funding for Gun Detection on Campus

Protecting your students, faculty, staff, and visitors is a top priority—and there’s funding available to help you secure gun detection for your campus and event spaces.

Types of Funding

There are several ways to fund school safety initiatives. For many schools and school districts, budgets are already stretched to the max, but the security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors is still a priority. We’re happy to partner with you on ways to fund protection on campus.

GRANTS

State and Federal grants are issued for a variety of initiatives, including safety on campus. Over the past five years, the United States has allocated billions of dollars to school grants, many of which can be used for safety initiatives.

Allocation of funds, deadlines, and application process vary for each grant. ZeroEyes has a team of grant writers and state experts that can help you navigate the process.

SOLE SOURCE FUNDING

Sole source funding awards are completed through organizations such as Omnia Partners, Carahsoft, TIPS USA, and others.

These groups support the purchasing process for government entities and work with vetted vendors on contracts that meet compliance standards.

SPONSORS AND BOOSTERS

If you have existing sponsors and boosters for student activities, athletics, or other aspects of your campus, you can consider increasing sponsorship opportunities to include safety solutions.

Examples of sponsorships may extend to athletic and event spaces, be part of an ongoing sponsorship, or gifted as part of a larger donation.

COMMUNITY AND PARENT-FUNDING

When it comes to the safety of our students, faculty, and staff—most parents and community members are wiling to pitch in for the cause. Crowd-funding or fundraising drives to cover gun detection can be very successful, and help raise awareness of safety needs overall.

In many instances, ZeroEyes can be deployed for just a few dollars per student each year, covering all or most of the solution.

AI FIREARM DETECTION

How it works

ZeroEyes connects to existing security cameras and monitors streaming video feeds for firearms. The AI image classification system processes thousands of images per second and immediately notifies trained personnel in the ZeroEyes Operation Center if an image appears to contain a firearm.

AI FIREARM DETECTION

How it works

All ZeroEyes firearm detections are reviewed immediately by a technician in the ZOC (ZeroEyes Operation Center.) Technicians only review images in which a suspected firearm has been detected.

AI FIREARM DETECTION

How it works

As soon as a technician has verified a suspected firearm, ZeroEyes systems notify system administrators in the facility in which the detection occurred and law enforcement via the local 911 center. Authorities told the number and location of suspected shooters.
